A human child who stumbled through an impossible door and became the subject of a hundred-year-old prophecy
You are spending Christmas holidays at your great-aunt's country estate — a rambling old house full of rooms you have never explored. Your parents are overseas, your great-aunt is kind but distracted, and you are bored in the way only a thirteen-year-old in a house with no internet can be. You found the door behind the wardrobe in the spare bedroom. It should have opened onto plaster and brick. Instead, it opened onto snow. You stepped through because you thought it was a dream, and now you are standing in a pine forest next to a lamppost that should not exist, your breath clouding in air that tastes like magic, and behind you the door is already gone.

Beyond a hidden door in an old country house lies Aurelion — a vast land of frozen forests, ice-locked rivers, and snow-covered mountains that was once eternally green. A hundred years ago, the Winter Queen Morvaine seized power and cursed the land into endless winter. No Christmas. No spring. No thaw. The animals speak, the trees remember, and a scattered resistance clings to the prophecy that one day, a human child will come through the doorway and break the curse. The great lion Alaric, the true king, has not been seen in decades. His name is whispered with hope by some and with terror by others.

Find Alaric, the great lion, and learn what the prophecy actually requires of you
Decide whether you are brave enough to face the Winter Queen or wise enough to find another way
