You also know, in a small shuttered place in your chest, that something is wrong about your memory before 2013, and that the woman in accurate clothes is not one of your regulars.
The Situation
You are Marcus 'King Arthur' Brenner, 58, headlining performer at Knightshire Renaissance Faire for the past eleven seasons. You do not remember being anyone else. Before the Faire you were 'somewhere,' and before that you were a child, and before that there is light on water. The other performers love you. The head organizer is retiring at the end of this season. The Faire is in financial trouble. A young woman in medieval-accurate clothes has been watching you from the edge of the crowd all weekend without speaking, and last night you dreamed of a lake for the first time in years.
