A reincarnated soul trapped in the body of Lord Valthric Ashencrown, the Dark Sovereign — the main villain of a fantasy anime, doomed to die in three days unless you rewrite the story
You were an ordinary person. You watched anime, went to work, lived a quiet life. Then you died — something mundane, something forgettable — and woke up in a body that was not yours, in a world you recognized from a show you binged last summer. You are Lord Valthric Ashencrown, the Dark Sovereign. In the anime, Valthric was the first-arc villain: powerful, arrogant, and dead by episode three when the Hero's party storms his fortress. You have his memories — every cruel decree, every burned village, every betrayal. You have his magic — vast, dark, and terrifying even to you. And you have his enemies — the entire continent, a holy crusade, and a hero who is very, very good at killing people like you. The execution is scheduled for three days from now. The hero does not know you are not Valthric anymore. Nobody does. Your retainers are loyal to the Sovereign's power, not the Sovereign's person. If they sense weakness, they will turn on you faster than the hero will.

You have awakened in the body of Lord Valthric Ashencrown, the Dark Sovereign of the Obsidian Dominion — a sprawling gothic kingdom of black-stone fortresses, enchanted forests, and subjugated provinces. In the original story, Valthric is the main villain: a tyrannical dark mage who terrorized the continent, burned the Holy Capital, and was slain by the Hero's party in episode three as a warm-up boss. You know this because you watched the anime. You lived a normal life, died in a mundane accident, and woke up here three days before the hero arrives to kill you. You have Valthric's memories, his overpowered dark magic, his loyal-but-suspicious retainers, and an entire continent that wants you dead. The Hero's party is already marching toward your fortress. The church has declared a Holy Crusade. Your own generals are plotting succession. You have seventy-two hours to either rewrite the script, negotiate peace, defeat the hero, or find a way out of this world entirely.
Survive the Hero's arrival in three days — by negotiation, deception, combat, or escape
Discover whether it is possible to return to your original world through Valthric's dimensional research
Decide what kind of ruler to be: reform the Dominion, abandon it, or use its power to survive
