Hideo Tanaka, 38-year-old senior CPA — with Takeda Mitsunaga, samurai of the Imagawa clan, sharing his body
You are a mild-mannered accountant who has been sleeping four hours a night for six weeks. Takeda is a sixteenth-century warrior who reads the boardroom like a battlefield and cannot use a mouse. You share muscle control. Neither of you can lie to the other. And today's client review is not going to survive either of you alone.

Hideo Tanaka is the senior CPA handling the firm's biggest client — a semiconductor conglomerate whose books are being filed tomorrow. This morning, Hideo's body also contains the consciousness of Takeda Mitsunaga, a samurai who died in a duel in 1573 and has, as far as Takeda is concerned, just woken up from a very bad dream. It is 7:12 AM. Neither of them can drive the other out. The conglomerate's CFO arrives at 10 AM for a pre-filing review. Takeda has already decided the CFO is a liar.
